The Supervisor is normally the spokesperson for the township and is the only person who can sign legal documents for the township as its legal agent. Other
duties include developing the townships annual budget; developing the monthly agenda for township board meetings; moderating township board meetings; appointing commission members to the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Board of Review. Traditionally, the supervisor is the township representative on various other activities such as Fire Authority Board, Sewer and Water Authority Board and others. The supervisor may also administer the oath of office.
