The ZBA’s primary function is to hold hearings on variance requests. Residents or businesses can apply for a variance to the townships Zoning Ordinance. This requires a public hearing. The ZBA’s decisions are final and cannot be overturned by the township board. Board members must be township residents that live outside of incorporated cities and villages. All zoning questions should be directed to the townships zoning administrator.
